Ever, Only, All for Thee

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach...the unsearchable riches of Christ,

The definition of the word consecrate is: "dedicated to a sacred purpose."*. In other words, having one focus throughout life; through every job, friendship, and experience. Imagine being that dedicated to one purpose! This is God's intention for believers: to be solely dedicated to Him in everything we do.

So often in life, average people are overshadowed by those who possess a talent or skill. Consecration changes that dynamic. Any and all Christians who are truly consecrated to Christ Jesus can serve the Lord in amazing ways because they are dedicated to God's sacred purpose. Frances R. Havergal put it this way:

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Fellow Christians, it is not the most talented people who serve the Lord the best; it is those who give themselves wholly to the Lord and daily say:

Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

Great things can be done through a consecrated Christian in the hands of Almighty God!

It does not take great men to do great things; it only takes consecrated men.
